Services Patients

Heights Specialty Pharmacy offers access to Oncology medications as well as the support and resources needed to manage your health.

Specialty medications are often high cost and require special attention above what regular retail pharmacies offer. Manufacturers of these products limit access to the specialty drugs and allow specialty pharmacies to manage them because we are oncology knowledgeable and provide patient support.

Our pharmacy staff goes beyond just filling your prescriptions. We advocate for you by identifying copay assistance and identifying manufacturer programs if you do not have insurance or lack full insurance coverage. As a specialty pharmacy located in New Jersey, we have the ability to help enroll you with State Health Insurance Programs, which you may not be aware of, to cover your out of pocket cost after the insurance plans coverage. Our out of state patients are guided to their State Health Insurance Programs to ensure complete care has been achieved.

We are not only your dedicated pharmacy, we are part of your prescriber’s healthcare team. This provides you with seamless coordination of care with your Oncologist.

Like most pharmacies, we provide you with medication instructions, counseling on potential side effects and what to avoid while taking your medications. Setting us apart from the others is our dedicated team and personal touch when connecting with you. Our pharmacists and technicians, as you will get to know, are deeply caring individuals that give you the much needed time to review all aspects of your care. We are available to answer your questions during our normal business hours.

Heights Specialty Pharmacy offers services throughout all of New Jersey and portions of Pennsylvania and New York.

A specialty pharmacy fills prescriptions for certain complex, higher-cost drugs. Unlike retail pharmacies, specialty pharmacies also provide a wide range of services to support you based on your unique medical needs.  For example, we can provide education about specific conditions and how to manage your symptoms and avoid complications through medication.  We also work with your doctor and your health insurance company to be sure that you have access to the right drug and that it is covered by your health plan if at all possible.  We can even find out if financial assistance is available that can reduce your costs for these therapies.

At Heights Specialty Pharmacy, we do much more than just fill your prescriptions. Our services include:

  • Financial and billing assistance to keep your drug costs as low as possible
  • Support throughout the insurance approval process
  • Rapid access to your medications
  • Counseling and educational information
  • Prescription refill reminders
We will handle this process for you by coordinating with your insurance company and your doctor.  Many specialty drugs require something called “prior authorization” which means that the insurance company needs documentation before they will cover a high-cost drug.  We will notify you as soon as possible about the result of this process.
We are open Monday through Friday, 9am-8pm; Saturday, 9am-4pm; and Sunday 9am-2pm.  You can call us directly or simply submit your question online
We have a physical location just like a regular retail pharmacy. However, we also offer mail services and support by phone.  We ship medications to New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania. This option is typically more convenient for our patients.
